Most interesting emerging manager funds

Even in the toughest fundraising market since the GFC, LPs still have interest in backing new managers. As some larger shops struggle to hit targets, new firms are stepping up to capture the interest of increasingly picky LPs.


Throughout the year, Buyouts gathers intel about the most talked about emerging funds in the market from our networks of LPs and fundraisers.


Emerging managers, including first-timers, remain of interest even in the tough fundraising markets. In a Probitas Partners survey last year, 75 percent of 69 institutional investor respondents said they were interested in exploring new firm spin-outs. Only 2 percent of respondents had no interest in first-time funds.


Based on the numerous recommendations we get, here's an ongoing and fluctuating list of the funds we've got our eyes on. Below is our most recent update to the chart since last year.
